Website design for cleaning companies

Cleaning company website design that quotes before you pick up the phone

Cleaning is bought on two things, and price is only one of them. The other is the feeling that you can be trusted with a key to someone’s house. Most cleaning websites handle neither: they show a stock photo of a sponge and a form that says request a quote, which starts a phone tag conversation the customer didn’t want.

The fix is unglamorous and it works. Put a real instant quote on the site, driven by bedrooms, bathrooms and frequency. Publish the checklist so people know exactly what two hundred dollars buys. Then let them book the first clean online at eleven at night, which is when most of these decisions are made.

Today you pay $1 for the website plus your first month of hosting. After that hosting is $8.99 a month, billed on the same date each month until you cancel, and you can cancel in any month. The .com is included on the Complete plan at $18.99 a month. On Basic at $8.99 a month the name is registered in your own name and run for you, and the registry’s own annual fee for it, about $12 a year, is billed separately at cost.

  • Seven days. From your answers to a live site, written and drawn by hand.
  • $1 once. The same build is openly sold at $1,500, which is what a US agency charges for a small business site of this size.
  • Cancel any month. No contract, no notice period, no exit fee.

What the site has to prove

Four things a cleaning site has to settle in the first ten seconds

These are the questions your visitor is holding while they scroll, and a site that leaves any of them open sends the work to whoever answered it.

01

A price they can work out themselves

Three bedrooms, two baths, every other week. That should produce a number or a tight range on the page. Companies that publish one book more first cleans than companies with better photographs and a contact form.

02

The checklist, room by room

What is included in a standard clean, what is included in a deep clean, and what costs extra. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, baseboards, blinds. This is the page that stops the argument on the day.

03

Bonded, insured, and background checked

Say it clearly and say what it means. You’re asking for a key. Everything about how you hire and vet belongs near the top, not in a paragraph at the bottom of an about page.

04

One-off and recurring, priced differently

Move-outs, post-construction and first-time deep cleans are different jobs at different rates from a biweekly. Separating them stops you underquoting the hard ones and overquoting the easy ones.

The build

The pages we would draw and write for cleaning companies

This is a starting structure. You tell us what you sell in the questionnaire and the map changes to match, which is most of what done-for-you website design means when a person is doing it.

  1. Home The instant quote, the trust signals, and a booking button that works on a phone.
  2. House cleaning The standard recurring clean, what it includes, and what it costs by size.
  3. Deep cleaning The first-visit clean, the extra hours, and why it costs more than the recurring.
  4. Move in and move out The checklist landlords and agents want, and the flat pricing.
  5. Office and commercial If you do it, its own page, its own contract language, its own buyer.
  6. What is included The room-by-room checklist, plus the list of what you don’t do.
  7. Our cleaners Hiring, vetting, training and insurance, written like a person wrote it.
  8. Service area Towns and zip codes, in words.
  9. Book a clean The booking page, with the deposit or card hold if you take one.

Every word on those pages is written by a copywriter from your answers, not generated from a template and not left as filler for you to replace on a Sunday night. If you already have a site and the problem is what is on it, a website redesign starts from the same questionnaire.

What we keep seeing

What is wrong with most cleaning websites

We look at a lot of these. The same handful of problems come up again and again, and none of them are about taste.

Request a quote as the only call to action

It’s the highest friction option available and it’s on nine out of ten cleaning sites. Every hour between the form and your reply is an hour the customer spends on someone else’s site.

No checklist

Without one, every job negotiates itself on the doorstep and every review argument starts with I thought that was included.

Hiding the frequency discount

Weekly, biweekly and monthly should sit next to each other with the difference visible. That single comparison is what converts a one-off into a route customer.

Sites in and around this trade

Drawn by a designer and written by a copywriter, one business at a time. All of the examples are on one page, sorted by trade.

The price

One build, then the hosting, and nothing else

The whole price list is public and it fits in a paragraph. There’s no quote to request and no discovery call to sit through.

The build

$1once

Designed, written and built by our team, live in seven days. The same build is openly sold at $1,500, which is what a US agency charges for a small business site of this size.

Basic hosting

$8.99a month

Hosting, business email, SSL and nightly backups. Your domain is registered in your own name and run for you; the registry’s own annual fee for it, about $12 a year for a .com, is billed separately at cost.

Complete hosting

$18.99a month

Everything in Basic, and the .com itself is included in the monthly rather than billed on to you. One bill, nothing to renew separately.

The whole price list, and what each plan carries, is on the pricing page. If you want to know what everyone else charges first, what a small business website costs puts our number next to the market, with every competitor figure sourced and dated.

Questions

What cleaning companies ask us next

Can the website take payment for the first clean?

Yes. Take a card on booking, hold it, or charge a deposit against a no-show, and send the receipt automatically. The same system handles your recurring invoicing afterward.

How do I stop tire-kicker inquiries?

Publish a starting price and a minimum. It’s the only reliable filter. Cleaning companies that do this get fewer inquiries and more jobs, which is the trade everybody wants.

Do I need a page for every town?

Not at first. One well-written service area page naming your towns does the work. When one town becomes half your route, that town earns its own page.

What if my prices change?

You change them in the dashboard yourself, in under a minute, or send us the new numbers and we update the site the same business day at no charge.

Written for other trades too

Every trade we have written a page for is listed in one place, and the trades we haven’t written yet get the same site anyway.
