One GoDaddy page cited, and the US prices we couldn’t read are marked

GoDaddy sells you a builder, then sells the rest one line at a time

The website is one line on the order. The domain is another, the mailbox another again, and the SSL certificate and the marketing tools are two more beside them, each with its own price and its own renewal date. Adding them up is the work. We couldn’t read GoDaddy’s current US plan prices to the standard the rest of this site holds, so no GoDaddy figure here has been filled in from memory; where a number is missing, the cell says so. Ours comes in one line: $1 to design, write and build the site, then $8.99 a month with the mailbox, the SSL, the nightly backups and the DNS already inside it.

No invented figures. A US price we couldn’t read on September 3, 2026 is marked not verified. Ours shown in full. The build, the hosting and the .com, with the arithmetic under each total. What we can verify, and what we can’t

Our figures in full, GoDaddy’s marked where we couldn’t read them

The left column is ours, from the same price table the rest of the site reads. The right column describes GoDaddy’s model as its own page sets it out, and marks every US figure we couldn’t verify on the date shown rather than converting or guessing it.

DEVIQO stated in full, and GoDaddy described with every unverified US price marked not verified.

Every figure above was read from the vendor’s own public pricing page on September 3, 2026, in USD, and the source is printed in the row. Prices move, and a vendor can change one the day after this was written, so check the source before you rely on it. Anything we couldn’t read from a United States connection is marked not verified instead of guessed at. The DEVIQO cells come from our own price table. The GoDaddy cells describe its published model; any US price we couldn’t read on September 3, 2026 is marked not verified, the same way the cost page marks the vendors whose prices aren’t published.

Where the upsells sit

A builder at the front, and the rest sold on top

The shape of GoDaddy’s offer is a low entry to a builder, with the domain, the email and the marketing tools sold as their own products beside it. That’s the model, described without quoting a price we couldn’t confirm.

01

The builder is the front door

What GoDaddy leads with is a subscription to a do-it-yourself builder, Websites + Marketing. The site inside is yours to lay out and write. We didn’t verify its current US price, so we don’t print one. godaddy.com/websites/website-builder read September 3, 2026

02

The domain is its own line

Registration and then renewal are sold as a separate product from the site. That’s the ordinary model; the specific US figures are the ones we couldn’t confirm, so they’re marked not verified.

03

Email is an add-on

A mailbox on your own name tends to be a further purchase alongside the builder. Here it’s part of the monthly, not a line you add later.

04

Marketing and SEO sit on top

The "Marketing" half of the product is where further tools and tiers live. Useful to some, but they’re sold on top of the builder, and their US prices aren’t verified here.

We’d rather write "not verified" than convert a price we couldn’t read in dollars. A guessed number is worse than a blank cell.

The rule for this whole comparison, applied to GoDaddy exactly as to everyone else.

Here there’s nothing to add on: the site, the hosting, the mailbox and the domain handling are one monthly bill, with the .com included on the Complete plan or at cost on Basic. The hosting page lists what the monthly carries, and the cost page puts the whole US market in one table.

Questions

What people ask next

Why will you not just show GoDaddy’s price?

Because we couldn’t read a current US plan price to the standard the rest of this site holds, and guessing would break the one promise this comparison makes: every figure is sourced and dated, or it’s marked not verified. godaddy.com/websites/website-builder read September 3, 2026

We do the same thing on the cost page, where two large US done-for-you vendors are shown with no price published instead of a number we made up. What we can quote is our own: $1 once, then $8.99 a month.

Does GoDaddy build the website for me?

Its headline product, Websites + Marketing, is a do-it-yourself builder: you choose the layout, write the words and place the images. godaddy.com/websites/website-builder read September 3, 2026 GoDaddy may also sell assisted or done-for-you services, but we didn’t verify their US scope or price, so we don’t describe them as if we had. What we do is the finished build ourselves, live in seven days.

Is GoDaddy cheaper than DEVIQO?

We won’t answer that with a number we couldn’t verify. Beside it we can put ours, in full: $240.76 for the build and two years of hosting on Basic, with the arithmetic shown. If you have a current GoDaddy quote in USD, hold it against that total and the difference will be plain.

What about the GoDaddy domain and email?

Both are sold as separate products from the builder, each with its own price and renewal, and those US figures are the ones we couldn’t confirm. The .com is included on the Complete plan at $18.99 a month. On Basic at $8.99 a month the name is registered in your own name and run for you, and the registry’s own annual fee for it, about $12 a year, is billed separately at cost. Here the email is a mailbox on your own name, inside the monthly.

Do I own my site and domain?

Here the domain is registered in your own name, not ours, and the words, photographs and customer data are yours to take at any time, with no exit fee. Today you pay $1 for the website plus your first month of hosting. After that hosting is $8.99 a month, billed on the same date each month until you cancel, and you can cancel in any month. It’s set out in the terms of service and the refunds and cancellation policy.

What do I get from DEVIQO for the money?

A website our team designs and writes for you and puts live in seven days, then hosting that carries the SSL certificate, nightly backups, a mailbox on your own name, the software updates, and the DNS and renewals on your domain. You can change your own pages whenever you like, or send the change to us. The websites page sets out everything included.

How current is the GoDaddy information here?

The one GoDaddy page we cite was read on September 3, 2026, in USD, and it’s named in the table. Where we couldn’t read a US price on that date, the cell says so rather than carrying a stale or converted figure. Prices move, so check the source before you rely on it.

The offer

One bill, and every figure of it named

The website is designed, written and built by our team and live in seven days, for $1 and then hosting at $8.99 a month. The domain, the email and the SSL are inside that, not sold on top, and there’s no price here we couldn’t show you.

Today you pay $1 for the website plus your first month of hosting. After that hosting is $8.99 a month, billed on the same date each month until you cancel, and you can cancel in any month. The .com is included on the Complete plan at $18.99 a month. On Basic at $8.99 a month the name is registered in your own name and run for you, and the registry’s own annual fee for it, about $12 a year, is billed separately at cost.

The same build is openly sold at $1,500, which is what a US agency charges for a small business site of this size. No contract, no minimum term and no exit fee: cancel in any month from the dashboard.
